Travel Tools: Evernote

Like most professionals who work from home  and on the road, I’m constantly transferring work files from desktop to laptop to phone. It’s exhausting keeping up with the sticky notes and files I need when I’m away from my desktop, and I always seem to need the documents I leave behind. My tech-savvy brother-in-law Chris introduced me to Evernote a few weeks ago, and my productivity has since improved tenfold.

Evernote is a program that acts as a server where you can upload files, keep notes and other basics that you can access anywhere. (An Internet connection is required to save files.) No more e-mailing files back and forth to myself, and no more forgetting those important docs on my desktop. Efficiency  is everything when you’re your own boss, so working with smart programs such as Evernote will only make your work life easier. And did I mention it’s free?
