The best way to fully appreciate a new destination is to seek out the locals and discover things unique to the area. On my first shopping trip downtown Breck, I was fortunate enough to find both at one time. I stumbled on a small shop called Bloom located just off the main street. What struck me more than even the fragrant scent that filled the upstairs of the boutique was an artistic display of soaps crafted of different shapes, colors and objects. Made by a mother/daughter team from the area, Milagros Soap Company is a family owned and operated beauty biz that produces soaps and body products for sensitive skin. What makes the soaps so distinctive is that they are made from natural ingredients and contain no detergents or toxins. And they’re pretty darn cute, too.
